Saving SS and Medicare

Filed under: Uncategorized — DoNP @ 2:18 pm

How much would taxpayer’s save if we pushed the eligibility to get Social Security and Medicare from 65 to 67.5? When these programs were created life expectancies were 7 to 10 years lower than they are now. Also, why no needs test? If an eligible individual has assets of greater than $3 million, maybe the amount of SS should be attenuated some. Just a thought.
